To Whom it May Concern:
This letter is being written on behalf of Christopher “Shane” Adler, a Pharmacy technician with whom I have
had the pleasure of working for the last 3.5 years.
Shane joined a Pharmacy team that was formed following the expansion of Palm Bay Hospital in the summer
of 2009. He came to the team after working with the Courier service for Holmes Regional Medical Center in
Melbourne, FL. He joined us as an entry level technician with no Pharmacy experience. He quickly learned the
many facets of his job, mastering and performing them all well. He went on to become a Certified Technician
within a short period of time.
Shane has an exemplary work ethic and took his role in the hospital very seriously. Toward the end of his
employment here, he became a mentor and teacher for new associates. He took on the role of Technician
scheduler and did an outstanding job, ensuring that the department was correctly staffed every day. He also
learned the job responsibilities of the Pharmacy buyer, and took responsibility for placing orders in her absence.
Shane was also the “go to” technician for many issues and problems that needed to be solved for our ancillary
departments and made sure that a resolution was obtained satisfactorily. He is very knowledgeable in regard
to Pyxis machines and often had to address and resolve issues associated with the machines.
To summarize, Shane Adler is an outstanding individual and Pharmacy technician. It was my pleasure to have
worked alongside him in the Pharmacy, and watch him develop his skills and expertise to such a high level.
He will be an asset to any Pharmacy department fortunate enough to add him to their team.
I certainly hope that you give his application the consideration that it deserves. Should there be any questions
or additional information needed please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Guth, BS Pharm
