Project Name : National Population Register 57

Clients : Registrar General, Census Commissioner India and Ministry of Home Affairs,

Environment : Java, Oracle, Linux CentOS with UIDAI’s Aadhaar application.

Description : The Aim of this project is to help in better targeting of benefits & services under the govt. schemes, improve planning, Security and prevent identity fraud. It involves collecting data pertaining to citizens of India which involves Data entry and Biometry. Data entry done by S/W by keying the textual data in scanned images (embedded into TIFF files) by Data entry operator and finally stored in Data base. The Digitized data gets saved in the form of data packets in the client PC. These packets are moved to the Server during synchronization process. A quality check also done for all the entries and then data are restored into the Database. Backup of the Server Database in encrypted format is taken from the Server Application and preserved separately. Backup of the Data from the Database is also taken and preserved. The Biometric Enrollment under NPR process is done using UIDAI’s (Unique Identification Authority of India) AADHAAR biometric enrollment client application. Biometric Enrollment will start after the pre enrolled data (Demographic data) is imported into the client database using AADHAAR application. The Biometric data (One facial image, Two Iris Image and Ten Finger print image) will be enrolled. The Demographic Data and the Biometric Data (Know Your Data - KYR) will be verified and acknowledged by the resident at the camp. Consent & Acknowledgement slip will be printed and issued at the camp location after each enrollment. The output of this project is to provide the unique identity number in the identity card to each and every Indian citizen.

Roles:

• To Ensure smooth operations on the Database/Application Software. Management of the Database/Application Software of the assigned center.

• Analysis of the Database Environment (Data Entry happening faster/slower or other issues).

• Assist operator in case of System/Database/Application related problems (System/Database hangs/confusion on image data etc.).

• Ensure to follow the strict guidelines laid on the process/procedures of the project to handle Database/Application which was imparted as part of the training held at Headquarters/BEL, Bangalore for DBAs.

• Reporting to Headquarters/BEL, Bangalore on problems/improvements/operations at field on the Database/Application.
