Please consider my application for process operator position at your plant,

as advertised on indeed.com. I will graduate from San Jacinto Community

College in Dec. 2014 with an Associate of Arts degree in process

technology. Mr. Jackson, my process technology professor, described his

experience as an operator and encouraged me to apply.

As you can see from my enclosed resume, for the past 7 years i have worked

in various refinery and chemical plants as a ironworker and rigger and

boilermaker. I am well aware of the safety rules and the permit systems in

industrial plants. My education in process technology combined with my

field experience, has given me a clear and better understanding of the

industrial environment.

As an industrial worker, I am well aware of the hard work and attention to

safety required to do every job safely. I believe my background in

industrial construction can be an asset to your company, by helping to

maintain a safety minded culture during turnarounds and new projects as

well as in the general workplace.

I have worked many years in this industry to achieve my skills and

knowledge. My experience, education, and safety minded personality have

prepared me to work well with others and to respond logically and

thoughtful to challenges, crises, and added responsibilities.
