. Project Title : CONSERVATION OF POWER IN STREET LIGHTS

USING MICROCONTROLLER.

PROJECT SNAP-SHOT:

Almel or Pic which is a programming device is used

along with the Keypad, RTC, Microcontroller and other required accessories.

Micro controller is programmed to send to send 230 Volts to the street

lights in the late evenings and the early mornings, but it's programmed to

send only 180 Volts to the lights during the midnights which will result in

saving 20 % voltage. The lights are also programmed to switch on and off

automatically at the desired timings which will reduce the excess usage of

current and save the manpower cost..
