As a Surgical Technologist for The Hand Center I was responsible for scrubbing all surgical procedures. I would also
oversee the sterile processing department. I would assist with purchasing, and also help with inventory, decrementing
and ordering supplies for the facility. I would also create purchase orders, and help in any other departments as needed.
I was responsible for training new hires.
The Ohio State University Medical Center Ross Heart Hospital
August 2007- August 2008 (January 2009-January 2010)
As a Surgical Technologist for the Ross heart hospital I would assist the Physician's with all vascular, thoracic and
open heart procedures. I would pull case carts, check inventory for par levels in the operating room, and assist in
central sterile as needed.
Mount Carmel New Albany Surgical Hospital
May 2004-August 2007
As an Orthopedic Surgical Tech I would assist the Surgeon in surgery. I would prepare the room and set up for each
surgical case. I would also assist in turning over the room between cases. My other responsibilities included but were
not limited to running test on the autoclaves and Steris machines, help in central supply, pull cases, order instruments
after counting inventory, and serve as Preceptor/Trainer for all of the surgical tech new hires.
