WORK EXPERIENCE
Jul 2012 – Feb 2013 Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations Trenton, SC
Jr. Process Engineer – Extrusion
Part of a team which assisted in the development of a start-up facility. Developed schedule to accurately test
designated machines in timely manner to qualify for production. Set up die development system in order to
assure quality of rubber product. Established standard practices that contained specifications for machines
and product. Coordinated with quality and production departments in setting up proper monitoring of quality
and processing areas.
Jan. 2012- Apr 2012 North Carolina State University Raleigh, NC
Senior Design Team Member - Fabricator
Worked with a team sponsored by Norfolk Southern which gave us the task of developing an automated rail
grinder. Implemented design fundamentals and engineering strategies to meet company demand, designed
and built product while providing team atmosphere. Heavily involved in the design and analysis portion of
the project. Performed duties such as sketching ideas and determining its feasibility, taking design and
rendering it as a 3D model in Solidworks, and performing simulations on critical pieces of project to
determine if they can support the load they would be subjected to. Resulted in a finished product that
improves the productivity of the company.
PROJECTS
Aug 2011 – Dec 2011 North Carolina State University Raleigh, NC
Centrifugal Clutch Project
Worked with at team given the task of designing a centrifugal clutch pack for a top-fuel dragster under
specific load conditions. Performed analysis to determine proper thickness of each clutch pad and shape of
each clutch “finger” in pack. Performed analysis in AutoCAD and Solidworks on each clutch finger do
determine its mechanical advantage and center of gravity to assure it would engage at a certain rpm.
Motorcycle Transmission Project
Worked in a team given the task of developing a transmission for a two-cylinder low-speed motorcycle.
Sketched and rendered a 2D layout of transmission in Solidworks. Brainstormed and designed the gears in
transmission, which involved determining how many teeth is needed and the shape they need to be. Rendered
gear drawings as 3D models in Solidworks.
SKILLS - MATLAB, Solid Works, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, AutoCAD
