The Haar wavelet transform method proposed in this project reduces the noise content in the image Corrupted

by the additive White Gaussian Noise by using Wiener Filtering in the Wavelet Domain . Haar wavelet is simplest

possible wavelet and is used in the analysis of signal with sudden transitions such as monitoring of tools in machine and

in the fields of astronomy, signal & image processing, etc.

This technique is preferred since it has maximum peak signal to noise ratio and minimum mean square error . The

disadvantage of Haar Wavelet is that it is not continuous and therefore not differentiable
