Systems manager provides network, system hardware and software support to
employees of this city in Miami-Dade County. This includes law
enforcement, finance, public works, and parks and recreation departments.
The position was responsible for maintaining desktops, laptops, servers,
firewalls, routers, IP Phone system and network infrastructure for an
average of 140 people in all aspects of the city's business needs. The
criticality of the public safety area required 24 hour 7 day a week support
to the police department secure environment in compliance with FBI, CJIS
and FDLE regulations. Additionally support included software for Microsoft
Office, SQL, Exchange, Outlook, and Internet support. Hardware included
the IBM AS-400 server for Finance, Planning and Code Enforcements.
Ancillary responsibilities included photography and video support for
meetings for web, on demand and live broadcast services and forensic
services to the police department.
