DESCRIPTION:

The project is four lining of existing road section of NH-4 between KM 216+912 TO KM 239+100 i.e.

AP/Karnataka border and Mulbagal. As part of Detailed Designs preparation, the Consultants are required to

carry out the Engineering investigations along the project corridor section. I was involved in pavement

investigations such as carrying out BBD survey, DCP survey, FDD by sand replacement, collection of borrow

soil samples for laboratory testing, etc.,

PROJECT NAME: DESIGN OF HEAD REGULATOR

ABSTRACT:

The project explains the procedure for the design of head regulator. As a canal starts from both sides of

reservoir, there comes the necessity of a structure to regulate the flow into canals. This purpose is fulfilled by

the head regulator and it also called as zero-zero of the canal. In this particular structure we have components

such a piers, apron, vents between piers is designed.

DESCRIPTION:

Head regulator, regulates the supplies of off-taking channel. The head regulator is provided at the head of the

canal and controls the supply entering the channel. It is a necessary link between the reservoir and canal. The

regulator is a meter of supply and a silt selective structure.

TRAINIG DETAILS:

Got trained in IRRIGATION DEPARTMENTAL OFFICE, Dhavaleswaram, for a period of 30 days.
