PROJECT WORK :

This project describes a new block encryption algorithm called SAFER K-128 (for Secure

and Fast Encryption Routine with a Key of length 64 bits) .SAFER K-128 is a byte-oriented block

enciphering algorithm. The block length is 16 bytes (128bits) for plaintext and cipher text; the user-

selected key is also 16 bytes (128 bits) in length. SAFER K-128 is an integrated cipher in the sense

that encryption is performed by applying the same transformation repeatedly for r rounds, then

applying an output transformation; r = 10 is recommended but larger values of r can be used if desired

for even greater security. Each round uses two 16-byte (128-bit) sub keys determined by a key

schedule from the secret 16-byte user-selected key. The output transformation uses another 16-byte

sub key determined by the key schedule . We implementing algorithm in Verilog by using software

Modelsim- altera6.6d

ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS:

Participated in NSS and other Social service activities.

Presented a paper titled, Artificial Vision in a National Seminar at SRM University,

Chennai.

Won second prize in Mime in SVCET Youth festival, Selesta.
