Major Projects Handled

Project Name : WIRELESS ENERGY TRANSFER USING MAGNETICALLY

COUPLED RESONANCE.

Role : Team Leader.

Software : MULTISIM.

Duration : 4 months.

Description of the project :

The aim of the current project is to charge a mobile phone without the

use of actual cables used for the purpose of charging usually. also our

system showed perfect results of power transmission at a distance from the

transmitter coil without any interconnection between them..

It consists of three sections:

1- Power source

2- Transmitter and Receiver system

3- Wireless mobile charging

In the first section, the power source is the power amplifier which is an

analog circuit with multiple stages as the power amplifier is an electronic

circuitry which involves the use of transistors as the amplifying elements;

hence dc supply to drive those transistors as bias voltage is necessary for

circuit operation. We opted for a design which consists of three stages in

the amplification process.

In the 2nd section, the transmitter on the left of a small drive loop

centred with in a solenoid resonator. The drive loop is 45cm in diameter

with a series connected variable capacitor used to tune the system to

desired frequency of 2MHz.A connector is placed in series such that an RF

amplifier can drive the system.

In the 3rd section, to charge a mobile at that predicated distance of

separation between the transmitter and the receiver. By theoretical

analysis, it is clear that the power that the receiver can supply to the

load is more than enough to charge a mobile phone at a distance of 1.6m

from the transmitter. Generally specify the voltage range 3.5v-5v dc

supply, also design the rectifier circuit by Zener diodes and capacitors

than distance of 1.6m mobile is charging

Responsibilities :

- Make sure to look after the deadlines and co-ordinate with my team

members to deliver it on time.

- Took up the documentation part of the project.

- Helped team to prepare the KIT, and performed soldering.

Mini Project Handled

Project Name : STAIRCASE LIGHT WITH AUTO SWITCH-OFF

Role : Team Leader

Languages : MATLAB

Duration : 2 Months

Description of the project :

This is also a push-to-on and auto-OFF circuit. User needs to push the

button only once : To turn the light on. The light will turn automatically

OFF after some time, since the switching OFF mechanism is timer based. Also

note that the "push to on" switch is used here, this should be momentarily

pushed to turn the light on. When the button is pushed, relay gets

triggered and charges capacitor C1. After release, the capacitor starts

discharging through resistor R1. Since the R1 is of large value, C1 takes

some time to get discharge. After C1's discharge relays turns off

automatically. Good thing about this circuit is that, the circuit doesn't

consume any power when it is not being used. This saves energy and

increases battery life.

Responsibilities :

- Preparation on Documentation.

- Preparation of Circuit Diagrams.

- A good team Leader
