Electrical Project Engineer – Lead Design Project Engineer for Energy Storage Systems (Battery Module

Units, Control System Panels, Battery Rack System, UPS design, System I/O’s and Battery Control Panel).

Confer with customers and suppliers to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products. Design,

implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components and systems for

commercial, industrial, and domestic energy purposes. Operate computer-assisted engineering and design

software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction,

installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with

Auxiliary Systems are designed and procured to design standards. Issue purchase requisitions and purchase

orders. Investigate and test vendors’ products and coordinate directly with global sourcing department. Manage

project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily. Prepare and study technical drawings,

specifications of electrical systems. Investigate customer or public complaints, determine nature and extent of

problem, and recommend remedial measures. Develop project schedules to streamline design, procurement,

manufacturing, shipments and commissioning. Directly work with electric power companies during

Electrical Engineer – Design engineer for electrical distribution and control systems for water, wastewater

treatment plants, lift stations, pumping stations and landfills. Including, RO and NF membrane water treatment

plants, Ozone Treatment, Ultraviolet treatment, Chemical systems (i.e., Sodium Hypochlorite, etc.), Anion

Exchange Systems, water collection and distribution systems. Electrical distribution systems designs include

specifications for low and medium voltage equipment ranging from switchgear, motor control centers, variable

frequency drives, stand-by generators, outdoor & indoor lighting systems, distribution panels, CCTV, Fire

Alarm and PA systems. Control systems included electrical specifications and support for the implementation of

supervisory control (SCADA), instrumentation, radio and telephone telemetry/communication. Project’s costs

ranged from $2M to $50M dollars in design and construction service fees.

Electrical engineering activities included preparation of specifications for water/wastewater low and

medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, including switchgear, switchboards, motor control

centers, variable frequency drives, pre-fabricated power houses, transformers, etc. Reviewed and drafted

As-Built drawings, Record drawings and implemented Operational & Maintenance Manuals.

Evaluation and approval of engineering shop drawings for conformance to project specifications,

customer requirements and applicable industry codes and standards. Conducted value engineering

analysis and review of vendor proposals/quotations during design, construction and start-

up/implementation activities.

Performed startup and functional/operational evaluation of electrical and mechanical systems during

final acceptance and commissioning of facilities and equipment. Provided assistance to on-site

construction personnel and completed equipment performance characteristic evaluations and punch lists.

Implemented design changes and recommendations through TRC’s, RFI’s, designer clarifications and

other evaluations and interpretations of complex specification and contractual issues.

Conducted project coordination with other disciplines during design and prepared electrical schematics

(CAD drawings) for the preliminary and final design of electrical power and control system for pump

stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, and other diverse environmental facilities.

Evaluated existing plants to determine scope of work for improvements and upgrades. Prepared

Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, UL Standards, Florida lighting code, Hazardous

locations, local and state building code regulations in the construction of new and existing facilities

related to public and private sector projects including government and municipal clientele.

estimation, material take offs, conductors and conduit sizing, grounding standards, preparation of

specifications and design drawings for construction, project engineering support during construction and
