General responsibility for prepping operating rooms, and
monitoring/recording information during surgery related to anesthesia,
ultrasound and other equipment. Involved in a wide variety of preparation
and disinfection activities on animals prior to surgery, and providing care
upon completion. Experience with diagnostic testing including ultrasound,
and have x-ray certification. Performed variety of routine in-house blood
work including lab and fecal prep/analysis for parasites using visual
microscopy. Administered blood pressure tests on a variety of animals, as
well as administering vaccinations and treatments. Maintained equipment,
supplies and vaccine inventories through contacts with veterinary
suppliers.

cardiovascular disease. Worked in team of technicians managing the HDL-Lab
involving 2-D gel electrophoresis for heart disease testing. Duties
included sterilization, preparation, set-up and calibration of equipment.
Also responsible for chemical preparation of gels and standard solutions
for electrophoresis.
