Objective

To obtain a job in which the skills I've acquired through my education

and work experience allow me the opportunity to gain more practical

experience in the field and further my career as a safety professional.

Major: Occupational Health and Safety

Innovative Safety Leadership: Senior project requiring our class to

develop and implement a safety plan for our new Technical Design and Safety

Building on campus. An example of what we did for our project was to

perform observations, which required testing of noise, light, and machine

guarding. Then we would consult with management on changes we recommend for

the good of the campus. The focus of our project was the ANSI Z10

approach, which calls for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include: food preparation, working the line, and

customer service. A work environment that demands we participate with

others and exhibit teamwork on a daily basis and instills the importance of

handling business matters in a safe, healthy, and professional manner.

Technical Fabrications, Newburyport MA

Line operator and finished product inspector 2008 - 2011

Numerous duties including: Deburring products using a variety of

methods to ensure shipping quality and safety, inspecting products and

machinery for flaws, and collaborating with fellow employees to ensure

safety measures were being enforced. Worked unaccompanied at several

locations, strengthening my self-reliance and individual initiative skills.

General Course Maintenance 2012-Current

Working around dangerous equipment and chemicals using a safe approach

in a timely manner with teammates and unaccompanied. Began job with no

experience and have advanced to more demanding tasks in just several months

of working with company.
