Featured Experience and Projects:

With three years of UX experience I have been a part of a lot of projects, below are some of the companies and/or projects that I have had the opportunity to work with.

UX Designer/ Researcher – Seco Tools 2013-2013 (4 months)

My main task and thesis project was to redesign their current online store in a way to better fit the needs of their different user groups and to increase the User Experience for those using it. This project involved user and stakeholder interviews and observation of the users using the current system. From these interviews, I developed user scenarios and personas that I used in my design decisions in my sketches and prototype. From the developed Prototype I then did a usability test and made an iteration of that from the findings of the usability test.

Guest Lecturer with California State University Stanislaus

I was asked to give a series of lectures on the topic of Human Computer Interaction, User Experience and Interaction Design.

Usability test and evaluation with GE Healthcare (2 months)

Worked with GE Healthcare and PHD Students at Uppsala University to come up with solutions to improve the usability of the Biacore product line, which is used in pharmaceutical research. This project involved user interviews, a usability test, and documentation with suggestions on how to improve the current system.

Caution and Warning System For Fighter Jets with SAAB (3 months)

Worked with SAAB to come up with a better way to implement a new caution and warning system for a cockpit in a fighter jet. This project involved a lot of user research with Pilots and Human Factors Engineers and then coming with a solution on how to solve the problem with the current system.

Usability Test for Uppsala University Home Site and the City of Uppsala (2 months)

Worked with the University of Uppsala and City of Uppsala to improve the Usability of their sites. These usability studies involved recruiting participants and bringing them into the usability lab and having them go through several tasks while recording their behavior with Morae. This was all documented with test plans and presented to them. Some of these findings have been implemented.

User Centered Design Process for Accenture (1 month)

Worked with Accenture to come up with a user centered design process. We were giving a certain amount of resources and had to come up with a plan on how to implement the process.

System Operator – Financial Center Credit Union (FCCU) 2010-2011

Install, operate, verify, and maintain multifunctional/multi-user information processing systems, equipment and devices. Collect user feedback and create user documentation and procedures for various systems.

Student Assistant – California State University, Stanislaus 2009-2010

Assist and monitor students in the computer lab and library. Monitor inventory, and equipment.
