OBJECTIVE
A motivated and meticulous chemical engineer with practical organizational skills, along with strong
analytical and problem solving qualities seeking to use my experience to gain an engineering position among
the leaders in the field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Merck, West Point PA October 2013 Present
Engineer III – Sterile Supply
• Provide technical support to manufacturing operations with regard to raw materials or
components
• Provide support to areas in receiving, releasing, dispensing and using raw materials or
components for pharmaceutical manufacturing
• In charge for investigation, resolution, and documentation of manufacturing deviations
• In charge for technical projects focused on corrective actions, evaluation of raw material changes
or components
• Develop working relationships with counterparts in other areas supporting aseptic
manufacturing, testing, planning, and release
• Investigate process deviations, and evaluate raw material or component changes to support
compliance projects in context of cGMPs
Johnson and Johnson, Skillman NJ March 2012 – October 2013
Scientist I Technical Assurance
• Met aggressive data compilation deadline by streamlining the collection and management processes of product
testing results for over 300 consumer healthcare and personal care products
• Eliminated data traceability and validity concerns by clearly communicating requirements to over 20 third party
manufacturing sites across the US and Canada.
• Optimized reliability of process capability assessment values generated by Minitab Statistical software by
accounting for inherent variability in data distribution
• Prepared a new standard operating procedure (SOP) to establish consistency in the process capability data analysis
method
• Proposed product specification changes, with a high implementation rate, to improve manufacturing process
capability and robustness
• Coordinated cross functional meetings with Package Engineering, Analytical R&D, Microbiology R&D, Quality
Assurance, and Regulatory to assess impact of process capability improvement initiatives on marketed products
• Prepared thorough Technical Assessments to document the objective, rationale, and relevant supporting data for
implemented product specification changes
• Support to complete Non Conformance (NC) and Correction Action and Prevention Action (CAPA) initiatives

Rutgers University, School of Engineering, New Brunswick, NJ
Master of Science, Chemical Engineering, September 2010 – December 2011
Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering, September 2006 – May 2010
Awards and Accolades
• New Jersey American Institute of Chemical Engineers Merit Award for Science and Research
• American Institutes of Chemical Engineers National Conference Research Contributor
• Dean’s List, Rutgers University School of Engineering
RESEARCH AND ANALYTICAL EXPERIENCE
Rutgers University, School of Engineering May 2009 – Sept 2010
Chemical Engineering Research Assistant – Granular segregation and powder mixing
• Studied the effects of segregation of different particles in a double cone blender including the
interactions between material, density, triboelectric properties, mass and shapes.
• In order to study the segregation effects of the different powder without the effect of static
electricity build up, an acrylic sheet incline was made for the powders to flow on. The segregation
effect of powder flow through funnels at different orientations then onto the acrylic sheet was also
heavily investigated
• Explored the effect of surfactants and wiping patterns on an acrylic sheet relative to powder flow
as they pertain to hydrophobic, hydrophilic and water based solutions.
• Quantified the phenomenon of spray pattern and flow rate with respect to impregnating catalysts
• Presented results at Catalyst Consortium to companies and at AIChE national conference
Rutgers University, School of Engineering
Sept 2009 – May 2010
ChemE Car, Team Leader, Undergraduate Project
• In charge of designing and building a cost effective car that operates strictly on a chemical
reaction for American Institute of Chemical Engineers ChemE Car competition
• Constructed multiple models of the vehicle chaises.
• Lead the research of making different batteries as the power source. Decided Aluminum air
battery was the most efficient type. Constructed multiple aluminum air batteries, using salt, water,
charcoal, paper towel and aluminum, as power source for the vehicle
• Supervised the development of a stopping mechanism using an iodine clock reaction that
changed color at a certain time, cuts off the circuit to the motor causing the car to stop.
Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Study – Quantum Dots Jan 2010 – May 2010
• Researched production methods for cadmium selenide quantum dots. Different methods were
evaluated and were combined to best fit the available equipment and conditions
• Characterized the sizes of the resulting quantum dots using UV light, visible light, and
Transmission Electron Microscope. Results from the visible light were analyzed with MatLab
• Investigated the effects of heat and reaction times during production on the size of quantum dots
Jan 2010 – May 2010
Organic Chemistry Lab, Undergraduate Study
• Purification using flash chromatography, extraction, distillation and recrystallization
• Identifying chemicals using melt point technique
• Synthetic approaches (esterification, neucleophilic substitution) included microscale and scale up
