SUMMARY OF PROJECTS
Routers and Switches: Established local area networks by routers, switches and
clients/servers using protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP and RIP. Used VLAN on switch to
distinguish the ports according to networks and DOT 1Q encapsulation on router to work
with sub-interfaces. Constructed trunk and access ports required in networks. Applied
inbound and outbound access control list (ACL) on interfaces to grant or deny the
permissions to specific IPs. Filtered the traffic of clients on web-servers by using extended
ACL.
Networking Technologies: Tested network hardware including cabling, cable connectors,
hubs, bridges, and routers. Functioned with TCP/IP stack and its common protocols and
services like ARP, DHCP, and DNS. Operated packet-capture software to investigate and
troubleshoot common networking problems.
Virtualization: Practiced Virtual Architecture, Storage and Security. Gone through virtual
software like VM-Ware, Virtual Box, Virtual PC and Hyper-V. Virtualized own operating
system, Ubuntu and Windows XP using VM-ware Workstation. Inspected the performance
by configuring the memory, processors, and hard disks virtually. Applied network address
translation (NAT) to different virtual machines with Virtual Network Editor.
PC Hardware: Diagnosed and solved simple hardware related problems. Examined PC
hardware like power supply, motherboard, storage devices, input/output devices, and
memory.
Internet Script Programming: Created and validated basic HTML pages using html editor
and W3C standards respectively. Generated lists, tables and frame sets to deliver multi-
windowed web pages. Worked with architecture of in document forms and remote CGI
scripts to communicate between the server and client web page. Produced and used a basic
MySQL database. Connected the MySQL database to the PHP script. Communicated from a
web page to a remote server using the AJAX protocol.

editing, file management and account management in both GUI and command line
