I have worked in different companies in position of the 3rd engineer (now I am working ashore as the Engine Superintendent) and I am a highly

motivated candidate intending to meet all requirements of challenging career. I have got more than five years of experience in maintenance and

operations of engine room equipment, have used various lifting equipment to move heavy lifts and bulky loads. I can repair and maintain the hydraulic

and lifting equipment, diesel engines and other deck/engine machinery, I am able to maintain a safe and efficient operations during the watch and

repairs. My previous seaman’s job also includes a scheduling, job planning and safety compliance while supervising the work of motormen. I prepared

the Risk Assessments, Permits to Work and carried out Tool Box Talks before beginning of the works I was in charge of. I have moderate skills in

welding, turning and in use of abrasive wheels as well and can work as the fitter.

Job experience:

From March, 2013 – up to the present time

Position – Trainee and then a Construction Fleet Superintendent in JSC “BMGS”, Latvia

Responsibilities:

Planning, assigning, prioritizing, supervising, reviewing and participating in the work of the staff responsible for fleet and equipment

maintenance;

Establishing the schedules and methods for providing vessel’s and equipment maintenance services, identifying resource needs, reviewing

the needs with appropriate management staff and allocating resources accordingly.

Participating in the development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures; mak ing the recommendations for changes and

improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures;

Participating in the implementation of approved policies and procedures, monitoring work activities to ensure compliance with established

policies and procedures.

My daily responsibilities also include the following:

Participation in the selection of equipment maintenance staff, providing or coordinating staff training, working with employees to correct

deficiencies and implementing discipline procedures.

Participation in the preparation and administration of the division budget, submitting a budget recommendations and monitoring

expenditures.

Maintaining the vessels and equipment maintenance records and repair costs, preparing the charges for user departments.

Maintaining the records concerning operations and programs, preparation of reports on operations and activities.

Monitoring and control supplies and equipment, order spare parts, supplies and tools as necessary; prepare the documents for equipment

procurement.

Investigation of complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints.

Preparing the specifications for fleet and equipment purchases.

Performing the full range of equipment mechanic duties, perform the most complex vessels maintenance duties and providing technical

assistance to mechanics and training to equipment operators.

Coordination with contractors in providing contract services, soliciting and collecting bids for new equipment.

01.2012 – 02.2013 Royal Boskalis Westminster Middle East

Position – 3rd Engineer.

I worked on several dredgers in various locations, like Zakum oilfield (UAE), Northern Europe, etc in close cooperation with all kinds of support

vessels ( AHTS, DSV, PSV), oil rigs ( semi-submersibles, jack-ups, conventional) and with the off-shore contractors. The project has included the

construction of 4 artificial islands for ADOC operator (UAE) and dredging the port channels. For example, on board of Trailing suction hopper dredger

I carried out the routine engineer’s duties and ensure that all the auxiliaries and deck/engine equipment are running without malfunctions and it is

always ready for operation. I was involved in complicated repairs and maintenance of hydraulic and lifting equipment, overhaul of diesel engines and

other complementary machinery such as deck cranes and derricks, mooring winches, centrifugal pumps, purifiers, distillation p lants. My job also

included scheduling, job planning including safety requirements, performing and safety compliance while supervising the work of motormen. I

prepared the Risk Assessments, Permits to Work and carried out Tool Box Talks before beginning of the works I was in charge of. As the team

member I have participated in rigging, lifting and slinging of the various loads, moving of various equipment and worked with heavy lifts.

I carried out various technical jobs with stand-still machinery during dry dock period. I have obtained the skills in maintenance and overhaul of

separators, diesel-generators and other auxiliary engines.

11.2009-11.2010 Star Reefers Shipowning

I was involved in operations and maintenance of Main Engine, Auxiliary Engines, deck equipment and cranes. I have got good knowledge and skills as

fork lift operator and a crane driver. I became a maintenance specialist in lifting equipment, cargo derricks, cranes and mooring equipment.

06.2009-10.2009 Sia Tilts, Latvia (Bridge Construction Company)

Position – Assisting Engineer

I worked in the team of bridge technicians for stressing the shrouds (stress wires) during construction of modern and large Southern bridge in Riga. I

participated in preparation of the stressing jacks for the bridge and performed various works in connection with the installation of the pylons, seats,

covering of stressing wires. I carried out additionally minor construction and concrete works.

I have got the experience in composite oil-fired boiler, donkey boiler operations, sewage treatment plants operations, O.W.S. plant. I did maintenance

I worked as Engine room operator/watchkeeper. I also participated in engine room maintenance, studied and carried out the paint application process on

various metal surfaces (surface preparation, priming and final coat paint application/spaying). I worked with two compounds paints and with RD-22

(for steam lines).

Study in Latvian Maritime Academy, Riga from 2004 to 2009. I got a Diploma of second-level professional education and got qualification in marine

engineering. I have a Certificate of Competence as the Engineer in charge of an engineering watch / >750 kW endorsement.
