• Enbridge, Toronto – As the Technology Architect, Ashok was responsible for collaborating to develop
the utilities 5 year IT Roadmap of Operations & Engineering and conceptualizing the future Asset
Risk Analytics Platform requirements [Aug 2013 - Present].
• Capgemini / Banque Laurentien, Montreal – As the lead Architect, Ashok was responsible for the
SOA web services to mainframe integration architecture to support the bank’s BPM program. The
project involved ESB technology selection, IBM MQ Queue design, Mainframe CICS/Controller
program structuring and assessing the volume/performance/MIPS impact to the current production
mainframe [Mar 2013 – July 2013].
• Capgemini / Vancity, Vancouver – Ashok was tasked with the role of Integration Solution Architect
to assist Vancity (Credit Union) to transition from their current legacy banking system to Temenos T24.
The project involved analysing the current state of the 50+ legacy interfaces and developing the
solution architecture and migration plans [Aug 2012 – Mar 2013].
• Enbridge, Toronto – developing the technology strategy and architecture for Enbridge’s core work
and asset management system. The project involved analyzing the current technology landscape

state, future business goals and determining if Enbridge should sustain, replace or upgrade their
current systems - [Apr – Jun, 2011].
• Enterprise Architect - The Home Depot Digital CRM Program for Totem Brand Stories, Toronto -
successfully transitioned a portfolio of 9 .Net-based Digital-CRM websites from The Home Depot’s
previous IT vendor, to Totem. Established the Project execution, operations management and IT
governance capabilities (including architecture definition, design review and technology risk
management (Technology Team Size 31) - [Aug – Apr 2011].
• Chief Architect - Shroff Eye Hospital, India, as Advisor to the CEO of the hospital, guided the IT
team with the strategy and implementation to migrate from their unsupported legacy HIS (Hospital
Information System) to a more sustainable vendor product: Modules included: Patient admission,
billing, EMR, GRN & Stock [Jun 2010 - Jul 2011]
• Enterprise Data Architect - Lloyds Bank, UK, Enterprise-wide data cascade assurance programme
to ensure that the large volumes of data that would result from the bank merger will not have
adverse impacts on the downstream systems from data migration primary targets. Managed a team
of 10 architects, working within a collaborative onsite & offshore working model – [Jan 2010 – July
2010]
• IT Strategy - ING Life India, working alongside the ING Life CTO, Ashok assessed the Application
and Infrastructure risk of the overall IT landscape and developed recommendations to mitigate the
risk and the roadmap to enhance the application adequacy. [Oct 2009 - Jan 2010]
• ICICI Bank Data Centre Simplification – Assisted the Bank to develop the next-generation Data
Centre Blueprint to address the growing time and quality issue caused by the increasing scale and

developed the corporate-wide portal architecture strategy to address the increasing cost and
complexity of managing multiple diverse portals and web applications. Ashok conducted the analysis
across 21 business units, and developed the 3-year architecture strategy and transition plan for a
unified portal. The strategy also included consolidating their content management systems, and
reusing the Bank’s identity & access management systems for single sign-on [Jan 2005 – Mar 2005]
ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT – WIPRO TECHNOLOGIES, BANGALORE,
INDIA (NOV 05–OCT 2008)
• ICICI Bank, Mumbai, India – Ashok introduced Application Portfolio Management (APM) into ICICI
and helped them institutionalize the discipline across the Bank. The APM function in the bank now
captures near-real time data about applications, infrastructure, data, interfaces, tools & technologies,
software licenses and business supported, from over 200+ application owners. Data is also fed into
the APM system automatically from other control applications. The initiative also identified
opportunities to reduce the Campaign Management systems portfolio by 30% and save 27 million

INR annually and opportunities to simplify offer generation, lead management and application
processing leading to reduced turnaround times.
• ING Bank, Amsterdam – Ashok oversaw the APM consulting initiative which identified a 40%
complexity reduction in ING’s Electronic Payments Domain and identified savings of 20%. He was
also Instrumental in evangelizing the adoption of Wipro’s APM methodology throughout ING

• Manulife, Toronto, e-business/CRM Architecture Strategy, the project involved defining the e-
Business/e-CRM architecture framework for Manulife. It also involved identifying opportunities for
consolidating USI e-business opportunities and mapping them to the technologies that Manulife had

CANADA (JAN 03-SEP 04)
• JP Morgan Chase, New York, Solutions Architect, Customer Loyalty Program. Ashok architected
and implemented JPMC's web-based solution to support the bank's direct marketing strategy of
attracting new customers, cross-selling products to existing customers, and improving collaboration
amongst three business units - Credit Card, Retail Banking and Home Equity. The solution was
deployed across 500 branches throughout the US North-East. Ashok conducted led the technical team
and oversaw the operations for the duration of the program. Project size: 14 people/US$3.5 Million.
• Barnes & Noble, New York, Solutions Architect, Direct Marketing & Loyalty Program. Ashok
managed the technology portfolio of this $20 Million/5 million-member base loyalty and direct
marketing program. Ashok managed the real-time OLTP (100 million transactions), analytical data
warehouse (700 GB), the operational SLA’s and the technical delivery teams.

• BEA Systems Inc, Toronto, Principal Consultant/Architect, providing in-depth technical advice to

person multi-disciplinary technology team to implement and launch a bilingual e-commerce website.
The solution also required integration with the client's existing cellular, cable, and high-speed Internet
order management and fulfilment systems. Project size: 18 people/CAD$ 4.7 Million) [ASP, COM,

• TD CanadaTrust, Toronto, Architect - B2B Marketsite Integration. Ashok assisted the Bank evaluate
and implement an architecture that allowed buyers and suppliers to integrate with the B2B e-
