Attached is my resume for your review,
I am a Commercial Drywall Project Manager and Estimator relocated in
Frederick, Maryland. I am looking for employment with a construction
company in the Tri State area. My preference is commercial construction
over Residential although I have been a Project Manager in both fields
dealing directly with All subcontractors, Architects and project Owners
throughout Western Maryland and the Metropolitan area.
Projects that I have been responsible for have included jobs as small as
$200,000 to $42.5 million dollars, and as varied as multi-phase, low rise,
rehab to new construction including tenant fit out, High- Rises, Strip
Stores, Mini Malls, Prime Outlets, Hotel and Assisted Living Facilities. I
am comfortable with coordination of the Architects and Owners reps,
subcontractors, suppliers, and rental equipment and related trades to
ensure the most efficient flow of the project including time management,
resource allocation and punch-out work.
By starting my career as a Plant Manager and Supervising each phase and
stage of construction including HVAC, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing,
Masonry, Control Wiring, Millwork, Fire Proofing and Sound Proofing I feel
I have a better working knowledge of what it takes to get the job done
quickly and efficiently. My management skills include supplementing the
project workforce, hiring, problem resolution for manpower and resource
conflicts, Quality Control, discipline, and termination.
In addition to AIA billing forms, change orders, reading and interpreting
specs and blue prints and ensuring they are being applied properly to the
project, I can Value Engineer utilizing RFI's and alternate forms of
construction and or materials under Section 1300.
My home office includes all computer technology required to implement all
applicable programs enabling me to provide quality take offs and bids to
meet tight deadlines without time constraints of normal business hours. I
am computer literate in a wide variety of applications including Quick Bid
and on-screen takeoff Timberline Systems and The Edge and I can easily
learn new programs and generate my own shop drawings when necessary.
I also track the progress of the project, maintaining construction
schedules as required by the contracts and review change order requests and
submitting RFI's where applicable, buying out jobs by purchasing orders,
issuing and insuring that the purchase orders are correct and also
confirming the negotiated and quoted price is the invoice price submitted
for payment through the suppliers avoiding unexpected job costs.
I live by the phrase that quality cost, it pays. I work well independently
and also as a team player and am looking for stability in a constantly
changing trade. I prefer a drug and alcohol free work environment and I
