Sr .Net Programmer / SQL Server position November 20, 2013
Flexstaf IT
I am a dedicated, thorough, meticulous and passionate Programmer with over six years of programming
experience.
My most recent position was with Children’s Education Funds as a Senior Programmer for their highly complex,
three-tier application servicing the RESP industry. This application provided dynamic web data to end users and
regional offices across Canada and to internal staff with portals and data access modeled to user type. One of my
responsibilities was the programming and support of the data interchange processes. These processes exchanged
data with federal and provincial government grant systems (requiring ultra strict adherence to data interchange
structures and transaction relationship integrity), financial institutions (banks, credit card co’s), Air Miles, and
various government compliance organizations. This system represents just under 1 terabyte of SQL data which is
managed by an extensive array of stored procedures and back end code. It also encompasses electronic storage
and retrieval of all client correspondence and all printed reports. My role in the support and enhancement of this
end to end custom application has continued to evolve my skills and expertise in the design, programming and
support of multi-tier architecture systems.
Related to your manufacturing request, I recently designed, programmed and implemented a highly complex,
specialty manufacturing application for the food industry. The application encompassed end to end functionality
including purchasing, product manufacture, inventory management, order processing, invoicing, costing and
traceability. The manufacture component incorporated a Bill of Material with on-the-fly raw material substitution
and a product rework for sub product generation, while maintaining full product traceability. The inventory
management controlled a serialized item, barcoded inventory. The Traceability component provided forward and
backward traceability, enabling any field product (by Lot #) to be traced backward to its raw material (Lot #)
items, then forward traced by raw material (Lot #) to identify raw material in stock, related product in stock and
customers who purchased related product. This project proves my capabilities in designing and programming
complex, multi-tier manufacturing applications.
My previous experience in IT Infrastructure Support was almost exclusively in the manufacturing sector,
providing additional knowledge & experience applicable to your requirements. While I am not proficient in
SSAS and SSIS technology, a good programmer always needs challenge, and coupled with my experience I
sincerely feel I have much to offer in lieu.
If your organization is interested in a local Burlington employee willing to engage for the long term and always
eager to learn, then I would be very interested in meeting with you to discuss further details of this position.
Thank you for taking the time to review my resume and I look forward to our next communication.
Sincerely,
Larry C. Duncan
