PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I am an experienced lab technician who has gained knowledge through various scientific roles
and environments such as manufacturing, research, and educational settings. I have mastered
product, ATP, and microbial testing, auditing, proper documentation, aseptic techniques, and
acquired advanced analytical skills. Each of these experiences have allowed me to recognize
important factors through analysis and having an eye for details while also implementing
GMP and laboratory safety protocols such as FDA and OSHA standards.
Areas of Expertise/Core Competencies
I am an expert at multitasking, time management, organization, adapting to changing environments,
and finding key factors to resolve issues. I am highly skilled at data analysis, observation, oral and
written communication, and Microsoft Office Suite.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
CSM Bakeries (Temporary Assignment Contracted through Randstad, Tucker, GA)
Quality Control Technician 01/13 –
present
Investigate product hold notices and customer complaints to determine the proper disposition, root
cause and corrective action to prevent reoccurrence. Reinforce GMP practices and identify safety
hazards, including food safety, through a Daily Operational Walkthrough to monitor and note the
appropriate corrective actions for the observed findings. Perform testing on raw materials, work-in-
process, and finished food products to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
Conduct floor audits to verify the manufacturing process from the mixing stage to the finished
product by verifying ingredients, proper metal detector system for HACCP, food temperatures, and
varies product information. Submit micro samples for testing. Validate Allergen Control and
effective cleanliness by doing ATP testing and analysis after allergen wash to ensure lack of
contamination and for adequate production line approval
Achievements
• Write SOPs for hold for corrections to ensure the proper method is used to amend a product
so it meets the quality standard
• Manage documentation logs such as metal detection, calibration, and hold logs to ensure
proper notations are being recorded
• Ensure the proper usage of raw materials and ingredients is taking place to prevent
discarding expired materials
• Increase the employer’s chance of a gain in profit by conducting weekly aged inventory
reports to notify the proper authorities what items need to sold within 30 days to prevent a
loss in profit

•
rework schedule
Nypro Packaging Georgia (Atlanta, GA)
Quality Technician 11/11 –
09/12
In charge of the shift start-up for 4 assembly lines and implemented the corrective action for
damages on 100+ plastic parts inspected hourly. Inspected work in-progress parts and conduct
laboratory testing such as dimensions and force tests on finished products using SOP’s and work
instructions. Verify quality before and after assembly in order to identify and stop any problems and
prevent high waste cost. Recorded data and findings in quality system.
Achievements
• Revise and design quality procedures - play a role in Coca Cola’s new Freestyle Project
• Changed the safety culture of the plant by implementing near miss program and correcting
over 70 near misses, the most near miss incidents – exceeding the goal set for each
employee and reinforcing GMP and OSHA guidelines
Coca-Cola Syrup Plant (Temporary Assignment through Metasys Technologies Inc., Atlanta,
GA)
Lab Technician 06/11 –
09/11
Recorded and analyzed data from syrup samples preventing products out of compliance from
distribution using instrumental & wet chemical methods including: density meter, auto-titrator, pH
testing, ColorQuest, Genesys 2, HPLC, and SAP. Conducted raw material testing, data entry in
quality system, and laboratory maintenance.
Achievement
• Adjusted batches according to interpretation of results to ensure product complied with
quality standards
Golden State Foods (Contracted through Alpha Scientific, Conyers, GA)
Quality Assurance Lab Technician 08/10 –
11/10
Conducted and analyzed food product testing on raw materials, work-in-process, and finished
products using the following laboratory skills: titration, viscosity, pH testing, moisture, density, data
entry and GMP. Performed audits to verify stages of production met quality standards. Varied
cleanliness by pre-operational line inspections.
Achievements
• Advised production team on methods to improve quality
• Calibrated and maintained testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
Undergraduate Research (Spelman College, Atlanta, GA)
Research Scientist 01/10 -
05/10
Tested the effect of glutamate in glioblastoma cells in the presence of protein SPTLC-1 using cell
culture, isolation, cell splitting, cell counting, gel electrophoresis, transfection, & cell proliferation
assay
Achievements

Discovered the proliferation capacity of the cells with SPTLC were greater imposing a
•
resistance to glutamate.
Constructed report in scientific format of results and data analysis and presented it to 25+
•
professor and research experts
Research Experience for Undergraduates Program (University of Georgia, Athens, GA)
Research Scientist 05/09 -
07/09 Independently investigated the polyketide synthases of three species from the
Fusarium genus to study the cause of the toxic it produces using methods such as PCR, DNA
digestion, gel electrophoresis, purification, cloning, and bioinformatics
Achievements
• Discovered the non-PKS primer pair was the best for this investigation and designed new
degenerate primer pairs for the highly conserved regions
• Performed presentation of research findings to 20+ professors
