including PPE. Staging chemicals in their allotted areas, breaking down and disposing of used chemical
totes, maintaining a safe work environment and sees that all shop safety rules are being followed and all
housekeeping standards are met. Forklift management to comply with the job duties required.

weekly safety inspections of forklift, safety showers, fire extinguishers, pump lubes and calibration to

Robotic Welder
Follow prescribed safety rules in accordance with all standard operating procedures as a Spot Resistance
Robotic Welder Operator. Completing the daily log sheet forms from the start to the end of the
production criteria. Visually quality inspect for “non-conforming” welds including “SPC” readings
process. Operate semi-automatic welding equipment in confined spaces to weld a variety of parts of
steel plates, angles and sheet metal or various gauges to produce sub-assemblies and complete
assemblies of company products. Perform various welding positions. Vary welding techniques as
necessary; changing tips, exercise care to avoid porosity, undercut, cold weld, burn through, excessive
spatter, distortion or springing. Weld for mechanical strength and vibration. Select voltage, current and
wire feed settings within limits. Assemble parts in jigs or fixtures, making fixture adjustments, bolt or
clamp to hand in position. Assemble parts into fixtures, secure by clamping or bolting into position
for welding. Select voltage, amperage and wire feed settings to produce weldments for quality
requirements. Program the necessary robot and position movements to tape for optimum
efficiency. Check and verify program, correct as needed during cycle. Complete welds with hand gun
which require further welding or touch-up. Perform chipping, scraping and grinding to clean finished
welds, remove spatter, etc.
