Summary
I am currently a Senior at UAB and plan to graduate in December 2013. I am majoring in Management with a
concentration in Human Resources Management. I also work as a part-time intern with Enrollment Advisors,
Inc, which is assisting with my career growth in Human Resources.
During the summer of 2012, I was given the opportunity to work in Dublin, Ireland and London, UK through
my internship with IPG. I gained experience in international business, marketing, sales, and recruiting.
I am passionate about martial arts and have been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Triad Martial Arts for about 6
years, along with some training in Kobayashi Shorin Ryu Karate, Kobudo, Judo, and Vale Tudo/MMA. I try to
compete in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments whenever given the chance, and I hope to become a world class practitioner
one day. I believe that martial arts can change you as a person and bring about more confidence, discipline, and
respect in everyone's lives.
I am seeking a full-time position as a Human Resources Assistant upon graduation, so please feel free to contact
me. I would like to stay in the Birmingham, AL area if possible.

"Selena was a student in two of my classes, and she performed well in both. She is a dedicated and
hardworking student, and has gained a solid understanding of human resource management while at the
Collat School of Business. She works well with others and enjoys working in teams. Selena is committed to
her academic career; she also participates in educational activities outside of the classroom. She volunteers
her time in the community for causes she cares about. Her dedication and work ethic are demonstrated in all
that she does."

"Selena was a student in two of the courses I taught. She performed well in these classes, as well as with
others in the class on group assignments. In addition to her regular coursework she enrolled in the Business
Research Certificate, earning that certificate. She then applied that knowledge in one of my courses. I could
see a marked improvement in the quality of her work from that point. This is a tribute to her work ethic and
drive."
