Project Manager

I have been in the construction industry for approximately 30 years and have been involved in all aspects

of construction, from my start in housing, working for my families Construction Company in the 1980’s,

to most recently as a Lead Inspector for the Parsons Company at BWI Airport.

I have in the past been a Superintendent, Project Manager and a Senior Project Manager working on

projects ranging from 3 million up to 400 million dollars. I am proficient with all aspects of the

construction process, from pre-construction, to buyout, scheduling, and field management of the day to

day process. I have worked on hard bid, GMP with shared savings, and negotiated contracts. I have

experience working on low and high rise apartment and condo buildings, commercial office buildings,

historic restorations, academic buildings, as well as government buildings.

Recent work history

June 2012 to October 2013 (inspector)

Parsons

Presently employed with Parsons, working at BWI Airport. Basic responsibilities are for structural

concrete and structural steel erection. Just completed 150 million dollar A/B connector project and am

currently working on C widening project worth 45 million dollars. Daily responsibilities include

monitoring contractor’s installation of caissons and structural steel, insuring that all are constructed per

specifications and submittals. Conduct inspections on steel erection including monitoring connections of

steel and providing inspections on moment connections, decking welds, checking rack and plumb of

building after steel has been set. Caisson and grade beam inspections include checking steel rebar for size

and quantity per specifications and submittals and verifying concrete at time of placement.

July 2011 to April 2012 (Superintendent)

CITNW Joint Venture-

Maryland Live Casino

Was brought on in July of 2011 at the start of construction for the casino, Maryland Live located at

Arundel Mills Mall. My responsibility was the erection of the structural steel, and pre-cast for the entire

building which is 450,000 Sq. Ft and seven stories tall and was on a fast track schedule. We worked 60

and 70 hours per week and brought the building in 4 days ahead of schedule. The building structure was

complete in 6 months. After the structure was completed I was responsible for the installation of the site

and hardscape package. I was laid off after finishing as they have no work presently.

August 2006 to June 2011 (Project Manager)

PJ Dick Incorporated-

Lowes House of Delegates Building, Annapolis, Maryland.

PJ Dick constructed a 30 million dollar addition at the Lowes House of Delegate building. Building

consisted of a three story addition of office as well as meeting space for the State Delegates, (75,000 Sq.

Ft.) with two underground levels of parking. Building featured enormous amounts of very ornate trims, a

grand stairway.

Maryland State Police Forensics Lab, Pikesville Maryland

PJ Dick constructed a lab for MD State Police in Pikesville. Building is three level, (50,000 Sq. Ft.)

complex housing the State Police forensic Lab and associated offices. Building contained labs, clean

rooms, and other high tech areas as well as office space for State Police technicians. Building was high

security, had redundant generator systems along with redundant chillers and cooling towers. Cost of

construction was 28 million dollars, with a 14 month construction schedule.

University of Maryland, School of Public Health

College Park Maryland

This 12 million dollar project was the renovation of the School of Public Health at the University of

Maryland in College Park Maryland. This was an occupied renovation that included converting an

existing gym into the Deans offices, converting existing racket ball courts into two levels of graduate

assistant offices, and creating two levels for a new family services area. In the areas that were turned into

two level areas, we actually set new steel, and poured concrete in the existing building all while the

building was occupied. The work was completed in 14 months.

University of Maryland Journalism Building Renovations for BSOS

College Park Maryland

Renovation of the 22,600 Sq. Ft. Journalism Building originally built in 1957, including replacement of

antiquated building systems, construction of architectural improvements to accommodate new occupancy

by the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Work included hazardous abatement of building,

exterior repairs and upgrades and replacement of all major building systems. Project was LEED Silver

certified.

Struever Bros. Eccles and Rouse (Superintendent / Project Manager)

National Park Seminary

Silver Spring Maryland

This 50 million dollar Historic renovation of the former Walter Reed Annex located in Silver Spring Md.

Consisted of renovation of a 200,000 Sq. Ft. three story structures, dating back to 1890. These were

renovated into 60 market rate apartments and 70 condo’s priced from 750,000 and up. Also constructed

was a two level pre-cast parking garage. The Alexander Group from Madison Wisconsin were the owners

and architects. The project also contained four additional structures consisting of a Pagoda, a windmill

house and two other unique structures that were converted into condo’s.

Centerpoint

Baltimore Maryland

This 80 million dollar project was owned and developed by Bank of America. It consisted of an 11 story

high rise apartment building, a new five story poured in place parking structure, a new six story apartment

building using a Hambro framing system, and renovation of four historic structures. This was a two year

project. I oversaw three Superintendents and six assistant Superintendents. In two of the historic

structures we actually shored up the exterior walls and removed all of the old wood interior floor

structures and replaced them with new hambro and concrete floors. This project was a 24 month project.

Salary and benefits desired (negotiable)

On my most current position I am paid $40.00 per hour and have been averaging 60 hours per week since

starting in June of 2012.
