Director - Global Procurement
I am looking for an opportunity to bring my unique blend of engineering,
manufacturing and global procurement expertise to an exciting new
opportunity with your company. Through my leadership, experience and team
building skills, I can make an immediate impact on the procurement function
through focus on key supplier relationships and partnerships to reduce
costs of procurement and provide direct bottom line improvement. I have led
multi-functional, global teams including Asia, Europe and Americas and can
bring this global success, knowledge and experience to your company.
Demonstrated Leadership and Procurement Skills
Global Teams - for the last 10 years I have managed sales and
procurement teams in China, Brazil and Europe for a global trading company.
This company sells to automotive foundries, silicones producers and high
purity silicon manufacturers globally. The company has grown in sales by
over 1000% during this time by developing great relationships with key
suppliers to reduce costs and provide the lowest prices for our customers.
Multi-Functional Leadership- During my 15 years as a Global Procurement
Director with Dow Corning Corp., I established teams with stakeholders from
each of our key company functions. This brought a service and customer
focus to our team and resulted in over $100 million of proven cost
reductions for the procurement function.
Strategy Development and Implementation - Working with our global teams,
we developed strategic goals for each procurement area and implemented the
strategies including development of low cost suppliers, joint ventures and
acquisitions and supplier quality teams. These strategies were a key
component of achieving our cost reductions goals over the longer term.
Management and Employee Development - Over the years I have managed many
functions and thousands of people in Manufacturing, Engineering, Research
and Procurement. The development and growth of these people has been the
most rewarding area for me over the years. I enjoy mentoring young,
talented employees and seeing them successfully take on greater
responsibilities and challenges in their careers.
