PROJECT WORK/ TRAINING

TITLE: Analysis And Design Of School Building Using STAAD Pro And BIM ABSTRACT: Structural analysis of a building is imperative to achieve economy in construction without compromising on the safety of the occupants. The present project aims to design a proposed G+2 storied school building in Chittoor district. The plan was prepared according to the guidelines of National Building Code using AUTOCAD. This drawing was later integrated into Revit Architecture to obtain a 3D model. Later, building plan was incorporated in STAAD Pro to develop framed structure for its structural analysis. The live and dead loads were calculated according to the Indian Standard (IS) Code 875, Part 1 and Part 2. The axial load were imposed on each structural components and the shear force, bending moment and deflection of each components were calculated for each components. Based on the stresses generated the area of reinforcement was calculated using IS Code 456:2000.
