RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Bowel-Bladder Dysfunction Diagnosis and Treatment: Should Primary Care Providers Be Doing More?
• Working with the following professionals from Le Moyne College and Upstate Medical University: Travis Hayden, PA-C, William Holmes, PhD, Jonathan Riddell, MD, and Steven Siano, MS-4.
• Purpose: Analyzed referral patterns of patients with bowel-bladder dysfunction (BBD) presenting to pediatric urologists in hopes of highlighting weaknesses in BBD management at the primary care level. The overall goal is to decrease the volume of unnecessary specialist referrals for BBD by spreading awareness and providing treatment recommendations.
• Achievements:
o Presented at the Research in Action portion of AAPA national conference in Denver, CO on May 19th, 2019.
