Micro simulation traffic model was built on AIMSUN with Instantaneous Emission Model PHEM (Passenger Heavy duty Emission Model).
Proved that HOV lane would provide a 25.6% saving in time.
13.3% reduction in Fuel consumption, 15.8% in Carbon monoxide & 19.4% in Hydrocarbons with design of HOV lane in Headingley region.
