Title: Analysis and design of a commercial building using composite construction

(March 2017)

Description: The aim of this project was to familiarise with various works involved in real time projects including planning, analysing, designing, quantity estimation and modelling. Softwares like Auto CAD, STAAD Pro, Revit architecture etc were used in this project.

Title: Fibre reinforced self-compacting concrete (November 2017) Description :In this project the mix design of SCC was done using IS 10262:2009 following the guidelines put forward by EFNARC. The effect of addition of glass fibre to SCC was studied under the project.

Title: Study and approximation of approximate methods of analysis (November 2017) Description: In this project various methods of approximate method of analysis were studied in detail and used to analyse the same frame under identical loading conditions.

Title: Comparison of Seismic Analysis of RCC and Steel Framed Structures (November 2017) Description: This project was mainly aimed at familiarising with equivalent static method of seismic analysis.

Title: Analysis and design of steel foot over bridge (May2018) Description: Complete modelling, analysis and design of steel foot over bridge in STAAD Pro with design of critical connections.

Title: Analysis and design of a truss bridge (june 2018) Description: Modelling, analysis and designing of truss bridge for IRC loading as per IRC-06:2014 in STAAD Pro.

Title: Studies on method of determination of ultimate pile load capacity of bored cast in-situ pile foundations. (April 2019)

Description: This project involved familiarizing with various methods available for calculation of pile capacity.

Participations and achievements

Received endowment award for securing second rank during the 2 academic years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 from VIT, Chennai.

Participated in Truss-a-thon 2018, a 24 hour truss design competition conducted by VIT Chennai campus during 23-24 March 2018 and secured 1st position.

Presented paper on “Modular house using shipping container buildings” in “National symposium on engineering applications to solve human problems on shelter, water, food, health and energy” organized by Karunya University, Coimbatore on 5th October 2016.

Participated in poster making competition held at Albertian Institute of Science and Technology as a part of creatrix 2k16 fest on 26th February 2016.

Participated in the International Conference on Innovative Trends in civil Engineering for sustainability-ICICES 2016 held at Toc H Institute of Science and Technology. Extra-curricular activities
