Sr. Plant Manager 2017 – Present

Chemtrade Inc., Tulsa OK

Currently managing an Ultra-Pure (UP) Sulfuric Acid manufacturing plant that delivers high quality acid to commercial as well as Semi-Conductor customers. Responsibilities include production, quality, maintenance, engineering, EH&S, and, S/R.

Successfully restarted the plant which had been in shut down for several months prior to my joining the company

Plant’s current overall performance at 100%, a measure of uptime, quality and production metrics

YoY revenues +15%, Safety metrics @ 100%, On-time shipments @ 98%

Among many other accomplishments, successfully managed to upgrade plant’s ISO certificate from 2008 to 2015 standard, and, assisted in getting the plant RC14001 certified (Responsible Care)

Plant Manager 2012 - 2017

Air Products Inc., Catoosa OK

Successfully lead a $50 Million Specialty Chemicals and Gases plant that produced several High Purity Specialty Chemicals and Gases for the Semi-Conductor Industries. Processes included batch managed, as well as continuous. Clients included some of the world class Semi-Conductor chip manufacturers.

Improved process efficiency by 20%+ and completed projects on time and on budget.

Reduced customer complaints by 5% year over year, reduced the OSHA recordable rate to 0, and improved on-time delivery by 20%+.

Managed a reduction in plant spend by 5% to 10% year over year.

Reviewed processing schedules and production orders using SAP to manage inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.

Successfully led the site team during various regulatory and customer audits, resulting in additional business.

Ceradyne Boron Products, Inc., Quapaw OK (A 3M Company)

Directed the world’s largest Boron, 11BF3 gas enrichment plants with 120+ union employees (including eight engineers) and $40M+ in annual sales.

Reduced OSHA recordable rate by 96% and lost time by 85%+, saving $220k+ per year.

Improved on-time shipments to 98%+ and reduced OOS by 80%+, saving $500k+ per year in re-processing costs.

Led $12M in capital projects, including the installation of a 150’ distillation column, one new product line and revamp of an old processing area.

Generated a positive turnaround situation, increasing sales from $18M in 2007 to $40M by 2013.

Served on the advisory board of Northeast Oklahoma University’s Process Technology Program.

Site Manager 2001-2007

Duraline Corp. / Endot Industries Inc., Pryor OK

Lead a High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE) extrusion plant with over 55 employees and $15 million annual sales, with complete P/L responsibility, under two different ownerships.

A turnaround situation where a money-losing plant was turned around into a world-class, highly profitable plant.

Boosted profitability by more than 20% by effectively utilizing resources and eliminating waste.

Project Manager 1996-2001

Duraline Corp., Knoxville TN

Successfully commissioned (under budget and on-time) new High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE) extrusion plants in China, India, Malaysia, Oklahoma and in Brazil. Spent substantial time in these locations.

Each project’s size: $10-$15 million range.

Directed all phases of plant start-up from initial site selection to final plant build and operational readiness.
