RESEARCH
I have been involved in undergraduate research at the University of Alaska Fairbanks School of Ocean Sciences under Dr. Amanda Kelley. For two semesters I studied the effects ocean acidification (OA) on arctic climates, such as Alaska, as it is more prominent here due to the higher solubility that seawater has at lower temperatures.
I am to be a co-author on a research paper concluding the ongoing project. A large part of the work on this project was done through excel, MATLAB and hardware specific programs such as SeaFETCom and HOBOware. Much of the time is composed of compiling and formatting the data in ‘R’ (programming language) and MATLAB.
