SKILLS SUMMARY
I have experience with B-cell leukemia cell targeting with antibodies, cell lysate vaccines, and antibodies used in sorting stem cells. The majority of my lab experience involves mammalian cell culturing, sorting, replating, enzymatic tissue extraction, differential culturing, cryopreservation and some basic cGMP bioreactor production and chromatography. I also have experience with some molecular biology techniques including PCR, blotting, and electrophoresis.
OBJECTIVE
I am seeking to contribute and develop further expertise in all areas of biotechnology. I have current involvement in the field of regenerative biology including an active research task in developing a stem cell nerve tissue repair system. I have stem cell lab experience including cell culture, antibody functionalization, and leukemia B-cell targeting with antibodies. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Fresenius Medical Care NA, Lexington, MA Nov 2006 – Jan 2019 Siemens/Cerner - Soarian Clinicals, MS-SQL Server, Tibco IProcess, C# .NET
Developed a hepatitis-B monitoring system evaluating daily incoming surface antigen and anitibody blood levels to determine infection status with a high-volume, constant, real-time monitoring algorithm that alerts clinical staff to avoid the spread of infection. Comparisons are made between antigen status and antibody levels in calculating infection status and updating history in the Soarian application for medical evaluation and alerting.
Designed and built an anemia-drug monitoring process for patient safety/optimal drug dosing. This algorithm has been tracking dosage in relation to time-series patient blood results, notifying clinicians, and restricting medication orders with significant cost savings.
Automated workflow alerting systems for clinical and microbiological lab blood results.
Additional technologies employed: XML, MS-SQL, C# .NET, Java Equity Trader, Quincy, MA July 2002 – Aug 2006
System Developer/Statistical Modeling
Managed an extensive financial database in SQL with streamed updates from financial data vendors and automated access via ADO/C++ for trading. Scheduled database maintenance, BCP’s, and optimal indexing. Normalized data structures and tuned optimal system performance. Applied data mining techniques to large volumes of financial data.
Built and applied software tools for equity trading, with focus on pattern recognition, using a combination of neural network, genetic algorithm, and statistical classes in C++.
Technology: Visual C++, MS-SQL Server, Excel, SPSS, Statistica, Matlab, Windows, Linux Thomson Financial, New York, NY August 1998 - July 2002 System Developer/Administrator
System developer/administrator for portions of two financial websites, ADR.com and IRChannel.com. Developed Sybase/SQL stored procedures and reports per analyst request. Designed and built C++/ODBC based data acquisition tools.
Maintained server systems with periodic updates to back-end design and data.
