Description:

SPIDER is also known as Strategic, Product, Information, Data, Enterprise and Repository is where benefits are stored for our insurance products. SPIDER is made up of products (Plans) and contract.

The term product is overloaded and has mixed meaning across the WellPoint organization. The simplest definition of product (Plans) is “an instance of something which is sold” to the customers. However for a Medical Product, the plan represents the specific instance of the insurance product with the associated cost share values with any variability defined. The plan is the source of truth for the benefit data, cost shares and coverage. Plan is created by the instantiation of a product model with complete values for all cost shares and administrations.

Benefits are the component pieces of the Product and Plan. Benefits can be described as the building blocks representing the aggregation of data used to define the properties within any given product or plan.

Contract: The grouping of plans representing the composite which has been offered/sold to an individual or group. Contract Code is the simple key to this entity.

Role and Responsibilities:

Responsible for preparing BSI SOT Comparisons, Test Scenarios, Test Cases & Test data set up which involves CASE Cloning, Group Cloning and Member Enrollment.

Expertise in Logging the Claims in APT tool and clearing the hard edits to process claim for adjudication.

Responsible for validating Benefit as per SOT and Plan Configuration
