Duties and experiences:

Performed diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including routine Nuclear Medicine Studies, Nuclear Cardiology, and PET/CT.

Calculated and prepared kits of radiopharmaceutical materials.

Perform and evaluate dose calibrator constancy test.

Radiation safety training and proper techniques.

Quality control and assurance on all equipment.

Experience in starting intravenous lines.

Perform wipe tests and area radiation survey.

Perform and evaluate quality control procedures for PET system.

Schedule patient studies, ensuring appropriate sequence of multiple procedures and interact with staff regarding special orders.

Recognize and respond to emergency conditions.

Prepare and dispense diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals.

Prepare and dispense therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.

Label blood components with a radiopharmaceutical according to protocol.

Prepare and perform cardiac monitoring and/ or stress testing.

Obtain pertinent patient history and check procedural contractions.

Prepare patient for procedure.

Experience with such cameras as the GE Discovery, Phillips PET/CT, GE SMV, Elscint Apex SPX Mobile, Xelleris and Numa softwares.
