5.Wide Area Fault Analysis and Monitoring System (using GSM) – In this project I carried out an exhaustive research and analysis of existing fault finding and clearing system in power sub-station, to design a solution for enhancing the efficiency and reducing post fault down-time.

This project aimed at reducing the time delays between fault occurrence, fault location, and fault clearance in real time, thus reducing down time.

The project uses relays for indicating the fault and tripping a switch. The signal from the relay causes a GSM kit to send an sms to the service station in-charge, sub-station, and the line man for necessary action. Thus the delays in communicating fault information and clearance is greatly reduced.

6. Visit Ambazari Sub-Station (220 kV) to get whole knowledge about working.
