RELEVANT PROJECTS

Multi-Operator Indoor DAS system Oct 2018-Dec 2018

University of Maryland, College Park

• Designed a multi-operator in-building DAS system using the 1900 MHz HSPA and 700 MHz LTE bands for a three-story building having a similar layout for all the floors. Omni-directional MIMO antennas were used in the walkways, corridors and open areas of the building along with splitters, couplers and diplexers to provide coverage.

• Modified the transmission power, cable loss, antenna positions, number of antennas to meet the defined compliance criteria for signal strength and best server for both the technologies and RSRP and RSCP for LTE and HSPA respectively.

•Both the technologies use 1 channel with the lowest channel bandwidth and 10dBm of transmission power, which is later modified to 20dBm to observe the variations in the output maps and overall performance.

Cellular Network Deployment in Washington DC using Mentum Planet Oct 2017-Dec 2017 University of Maryland, College Park

•Created a network deployment by using the professional tool Mentum Planet in which 25 cell sites were used to cover the entire Washington DC area along with the outskirts and the major roads leading to Silver Spring and College Park.

• Various cell-site parameters and gathered high-level and low-level information about the behavioral changes in the reception, by adding various types of interference, in an eclectic mix of terrain around both major city areas like Washington DC and relatively rural areas like inner Silver Spring.

ACTIVITIES AND AFFILIATIONS

• Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching, RST Forum

• Converged Communications, Centre for Telecom Technology and Management
