Designed 24 directional wells for offshore Brazil platform (Polvo project). Monitored and optimized 13 wells; 7 were extended reach wells (vertical section ~6000m), one of which set the Brazil record (at the time)for extended reach.

Evaluated and optimized wells for different offshore platforms.

Responsibilities include: preparation of casing design, directional well design, predicted torque & drag and hydraulics utilizing full range of Landmark engineering tools.

Generated cost estimates and developed cost-savings measures.

Drilling Engineer

Led and supervised three drilling subcontractors on offshore Angola LNG Project.

Main responsibility was the Congo River Canyon Crossing, which involved connection of two extended reach wells drilled under submarine canyon to form a “U” tube; drilling alternative methods from conceptual faze to Feed.

Developed and implemented new drilling wells designs strategies - horizontal wells intersection, connection well intersection using SET.

Project sponsored by Exxon, Chevron, Shell, BP Sonangol and finalized in 2012 by Chevron offshore from two different platforms from both side of Congo canyon; first largest extended reach wells connected as a “U” tube in the world.

Acted as an interface engineer and technical liaison with Service Company.

ExxonMobil, Houston, Texas 2001 to 2003

Drilling Engineer,

Responsible for designing drilling wells plans, preparing detailed drilling procedures, and assisting with implementations.

Involved in casing design optimization project for vertical and horizontal (>4,500 feet lateral) wells in Permian basin.

Drilled with air and underbalance horizontal and vertical wells as deep as 17,000 feet.

Conducted well surveillance and performance engineering for vertical and horizontal wells in Permian basin.

Generated AFE’s and cost estimates for Permian basin wells.

Accountable for the support of day to day drilling operations in order to safely and cost effectively drill wells and monitored adherence to environmental regulation and corporate policy.
