EXPERIENCE AND KEY SKILLS:
Planning, Human Resources and Reporting: In my previous capacity I took lead in the rolling out of the People’s strategy at country level in collaboration with the organization’s Headquarters. At country level this entailed planning, organizing and managing the HR unit with the aim of creating a fluid and motivated team; Recruiting and retaining professional positions in the organization; ensuring that Human Resource policies are localized and understood by all staff; identifying capacity gaps in employees and drawing and executing a development plan. Management and reconciliation of Payroll; continuous research on staff rewards and benefits and ensuring engagement of employees to match with the market structure.

System and Organizational Development: I supported the Human Resource strategy implementation together with the management team. Reviewing all the HR policies to ascertain their relevance to the laws of the land.
Staff management and Administration: I provided support in Human Resource issues to a team of twenty-five staff members while supervising ten staff in the Finance and Administration department. I participated and took lead in the recruitment process, staff learning and developing staff welfare and staff terms and conditions of service and ensured organization’s compliance with the labor laws. I also dealt with the staff benefits i.e. Medical insurance; Pension fund and Provident Fund; Revenue Authority issues, to monitor that all taxes and obligations are current. I also dealt with Immigration issues, ensuring that all Expatriate staff have valid work permits.
I have been combining administration as my core role almost in all my work life which include fleet management, asset management, procurement and office management the knowledge of which is at my fingertips and would be of value should I get employed by your organisation
Compliance: I have ensured Organizational compliance with National Labor Laws and I am knowledgeable of SA labor laws i.e. BCEA, LRA, COIDA, AA/EE. OHISA, SETA

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES FOR POSITIONS HELD:
Human Resource and Administrative Duties
Management and taking a lead role in Staff recruitment, selection and retention of professional staff who are highly motivated.
Continuous research on staff rewards and benefits and ensuring engagement of employees to match with the market structure
Manage the Administration team including setting work schedules and organizing staff deployments, time management, etc.
Monitoring the work of the team through regular reporting; ensuring that the team produce reports, conduct planning and review meetings on weekly basis
Leading and coaching the team to perform according to organization standard practices and relevant codes of conduct.
Taking lead in conducting the Annual Performance Appraisal as per the organizations policies and procedure. Working closely with staff line managers and management to plan and facilitate staff appraisals and there after identify development and training opportunities for staff.
Giving counsel and advice to staff on personal and work-related issues including providing guidance and direction to management team and employees on human resource related topics
Support in the development, management and implementation of personnel policies.
Management and reconciliation of Payroll.
Communicate and ensure compliance and consistency with office practices and policies.
Ensure that there is compliance with all employment related laws of the land.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Supported in the setup of Norwegian Church Aid Office, by developing systems and HR policies which were implemented. The systems and policies were reviewed from time to time to comply with the laws of the land.
Independently supported three teams of USAID funded consultants in Administration and logistics with very minimum support from the Malawi Mission office.
During my MBA period of study, was involved in Human Resources Development Management in a number of International Organizations in Malawi. As part of the HR business partner (HRBP) team, my responsibility was aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
As a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The role assessed and anticipated HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with the HR department and business management, seeking to develop integrated solutions. Formulating partnerships across the HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
As consultant, linking the international human resource responsibilities, i.e. liaising with HR organization teams in various Headquarters. This role required an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its short- and long-term strategic plans, its culture and other aspects.
