Outside Sales Aug 2018-April 2019
I was hired to introduce the opening of a new NAPA branded parts store in Texas City. When I began there was one business account purchasing from the location in La Porte, but I called on them and and sold them stock before the new Texas City store was open. I visited over 236 businesses in the area that could use our products. Over 75 had opened accounts in the first 60 days. I had begun converting customers that kept an on hand stock of filters and regular use parts with NAPA parts and was effective at converting many to buy from our new store. Daily sales were steadily climbing.

As a sales associate my primary job was to assist customers, both walk in and telephone, in locating, checking availability, and ordering items not in stock. Assistance in determining correct items and accessories was critical in servicing customers. New inventory was received and restocked. Inventory count was maintained and displays were kept fully stocked, clean and organized. I exceeded company expectations and was one of top rated sales people in company. I was able to easily do this because I was so familiar with tools and power equipment. I began doing mechanical work when I was nine. At NTE I sold power equipment and service parts powered by Briggs, Honda, Kohler, and many others. These engines powered mowers, pressure washers, wood chippers, log splitters, air compressors, welders, trowels, compactors, and more. I also sold Husqvarna chain saws and other yard tools, as well as Poulan. I was asked by manager if I would take the job of service manager.

In completing my temp job, electrical control panel parts and components were pulled from inventory, packed and shipped to customers all over the U.S. and Canada, using proprietary, UPS, and FedEx software. Sales quotas were met or exceeded while prospecting for potential customers. This was accomplished using Salesgenie, Salesforce, ADT data, and cold calling. Intrusion detection, CCTV, and fire warning systems were configured and sold to businesses and residents. I used telephone to procure appointments as well as leads provided by call ins. During my tenure with ADT I sold to both residential and commercial clients and I also retained customers who were in arrears.
