Objective

Graduate in Aerospace Engineering seeking full-time employment in challenging engineering environment starting July 2019. Interests include flight test, UAS systems, structural design, performance, and rotorcraft functionality.

Education

Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS: (August 2014 – May 2019) Bachelor of Science, Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Aeronautics GPA: 3.17/4.00

Experience

Xipiter UAS Integrated Products Team (Student Design Team) Airframe Design Engineer and Manufacturer (August 2017 – May 2019). Collaborated in a multidisciplinary team to design, construct, and test the air worthiness of an Unmanned Aerial System capable of competing at the AUVSI competition at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland. Assisted in the operation of a 4-Axis CNC mill to cut wings, horizontal tail, vertical tail, and fuselage out of foam. Gained hands-on experience utilizing carbon and fiberglass composite materials for lay-ups of aircraft surfaces using vacuum bagging techniques. Design, integrate, and test Group 1 UAS aircraft.

Airframe Lead Design Engineer and Manufacturer (July 2018 – May 2019). Led in the facilitation the fabrication of carbon and fiberglass composite components of an Unmanned Aerial System. Responsible for networking with local aerospace company for design optimization of a pneumatic catapult system. Mentored others in safe procedure and application of hazardous materials and manufacturing machinery. Collaborated lead engineers to meet deadlines and achieve the goal of an air worthy and autonomous Unmanned Aerial System set forth by AUVSI competition standards. Design, Manufacturer, and Test Engineer (Senior Seminar) Senior Research Project (August 2018 – May 2019).

Responsible for design and fabrication of 3D printed scaled Boeing 777-200 aircraft with a concave underbody to be tested inside a wind tunnel to obtain lift and drag characteristics at varying α. Compared and analyzed wind tunnel data with CFD analytical flow solutions to draw conclusions on the effect of a concave underbody aircraft. Presented analytical methods and results to an audience of professors and peers. Structural Analyst Engineer (Aerospace Student Senior Design) Structural Design Panel Project Team (August 2018 – November 2018). Responsible for the programming, debugging, and comparative analysis of multiple T3- 2024 aluminum sheet aerospace panels designed to fail at 14000 pounds compressive force. Measured and cut stringers and panel to meet specifications with manual shear. Operated manual break press to bend aluminum stringers into “z” and “hat” shape with 90 bend angles. Attached stringers to panel using 1/8” pop rivets spaced based on analytical design results. Observe the operation and effect of a hydraulic press acting on the aerospace panel. Presented findings and comparison of analytical results and empirical data between failure of each panel to professors and peers. Tertiary Youth Administrative Lead (Chapter Chief) Order of the Arrow, Scoutings National Honor Society (January 2013 – January 2014). Represent the collective whole of the chapter and their handling in the lodge and reports their activity through communication with the lodge chief and adviser. In charge of intercommunication and activity within the chapter, including representation and attendance at annual events, community service, and regularly scheduled meetings. Responsible for organization of teams for chapter and lodge elections and ceremonies. Honors
