Job Responsibilities

Creates and updates drawings manually and through use of computer aided drafting system.

Create and maintain Variable Revit Family Models that reflect our Submittal parameters.

Ability to read the design drawings and generate a 3D model in Revit for creation of Shop Drawings purposes.

Work to meet deadlines set by customer and management.

Checking drawing packages for proper layout and dimensioning.

Plans mechanical drawings by reviewing sketches, descriptions, specifications, and supporting documents; conferring with engineers and product designers.

Read, interpret and understand structural and architectural contract drawings.

Maintains computer aided drafting system in operational condition.

Advises and assists in training less experienced personnel.

Keep current on company design tools and AutoCAD technology.

Development of plans and section drawings.

Piping layout, piping general arrangements, pipe routing studies and generation of piping spool drawings.

Preparation and maintenance of all project related drawings (PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, Utility Drawings, Mechanical System Drawings, etc.).

Comply with the approved quality procedures, forms; instructions, company objectives and quality policy.

Modifies drawings by analyzing, resolving, and incorporating changes.

Documents work by recording data and drawings; updating databases.

Creating and continually updating project drawings lists.

Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.

Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our CAD server; keeping the server organized; updating project.

Folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made.

Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to architects, subcontractors, project managers.

Creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.

Seamlessly integrating and working with project managers design consultants, and sub-contractors.
