Project Work Done:

DIGITALISATION OF TYRE CURING PRESS TIMER

Tyre curing is the final and one of the important stages in tyre manufacturing. The green tyre after the completion of the process becomes a finished product. The curing process for truck tyres takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes and during high-pressure steam, hot water etc., The Cure Timer along with the electrical control circuitry helps to control the parameters involved in the cure process in an open loop with time as a calibrated parameter. Functionally, the Cure Timer offers time intervals of multiple ON/OFF actuations of AC circuits. The time intervals are programmed to be spent in particular step, and intervals are programmed as steps. The project was done as part of the final semester project work of the B.Tech degree, for APOLLO TYRES, Kalamassery, Ernakulam, Kerala.
