Provide supervision and oversight over TLS craft personnel and subcontractors in the performance of several renovation projects for the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Houston Texas. The projects consisted of the complete removal and replacement of six 600 KW generators and high voltage switch gear which provided emergency backup electrical power for the hospital. Also performed room upgrade modifications for Gastroenterology examination, Audiology testing and Pain relief clinic areas. The renovation work scope involved installations of Infectious Control barriers, complete changes to Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire detection, Fire water systems, Med-Gas, Data, Door security systems and Architecture.
Daily duties consist of providing supervision, coordination, and scheduling of all TLS personnel and subcontractors work.
Provide Quality Control Inspections, monitor all subcontract personnel for proper safety procedures and work methods. Order project materials, provide daily activity reports, compose project schedules, update schedule status and track cost expenditures.
Attend biweekly status meetings with the Houston VA Contracting Officer and VA Project team.
Provide expertise in resolving unforeseen and all project related issues, compose and submit RFI’s as needed and track/ record. Provide redline of construction drawings as required for all approved field changes. Schedule inspections for Rough-ins and for all field changes. Schedule all final inspections and perform punch list items for close outs as required.
