Professional Experience:
I am working as a software test engineer at CURRIAN SOFTWARE SERVICES PVT LTD from july 2016 to till date in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Projects Summary:
PROJECT-1 : MAC, RLC UE Conformance Testing
Designation : LTE Test Engineer
Tools : Anite, Wireshark
Scripting language : TTCN-3
Protocols : MAC,
Duration : NOV 2017 to till date
Project Summary:
Detailed analysis conformance testing of MAC, RLC Layer features in mobile handset according to the Test specification 36.523 provided by 3GPP.
The Medium Access Control (MAC) layer of the radio interface protocol stack is specified within 3GPP TS 36.321
The Radio Link Control (RLC) layer of the radio interface protocol stack is specified within 3GPP TS 36.322
The MAC protocol is used to transfer both control plane signalling and user plane data.
The features I have tested
o Include Prioritization of logical channels,
o Random access Procedure/Successful,
o Random access procedure / MAC PDU containing multiple RARs. MAC bakeoff indicator
o MAC contention resolution / Temporary C-RNTI, MAC PDU header handling o Logical channel prioritization handling Correct handling of MAC control information / Buffer status / UL data arrive in the UE Tx buffer and retransmission of BSR / Regular BSR
o UE power headroom reporting / Periodic reporting o DRX Operation / Short cycle not configured / DRX command MAC control element reception
UnAcknowledgement Mode:
o UM RLC / Segmentation and reassembly / 5-bit SN and 10-bit SN / Framing info field
o UM RLC / Reassembly / 5-bit SN and 10-bit SN / LI value > PDU size o UM RLC / 5-bit SN and 10-bit SN / Correct use of sequence numbering o UM RLC / Reassembly / 5-bit SN and 10-bit SN / LI value > PDU size o UM RLC / Concatenation, segmentation and reassemble Acknowledgement Mode:
o AM RLC / Concatenation and reassembly
o AM RLC / Segmentation and reassembly / No PDU segmentation o AM RLC / Segmentation and reassembly / Framing info field o AM RLC / Segmentation and reassembly / Different numbers of length o AM RLC / Reassembly / LI value > PDU size
o AM RLC / Correct use of sequence numbering
Test cases of MAC are executed using ANITE conformance Tool
Log files are checked for bug reporting.
Responsibilities:
Understanding and analyzing each test case before actual testing starts.
Understand the 3GPP specification documents for the protocol MAC.
Analyzing of test case scripts and also trying to identify related test scenarios other than the identified scenarios which might improve the prospects of finding more bugs.
To provide detail reports on daily basis with bugs and initial analysis for problems. Providing the logs to corresponding Development Team with the cause of failure
Putting the actual failures in the error tracking system with detail analysis reports, cause of failure, and the real time logs are attached. PROJECT-2 : RRC (LAYER-3) UE Conformance Testing
