Academic Project: ‘Effect of Ramie fibre and nanophene on the mechanical properties of PP/HDPE blend’(Aug2018–Apr 2019)

• The polymer composite has been fabricated using Ramie fiber and nanophene as reinforcement.

• The mechanical properties of the polymer composite were tested and observed an increase in the properties.

• The fabricated RF/PP composites can be applied to automobile industry as they are light weight and have high strength. Mini Project: ‘Cleaning of oil spills using human hair’ (Sep 2017–Nov 2017) The properly separated human hairs are soaked in hot water using detergent to ensure it is free from contaminations. Then they are rinsed with hot water and dried under natural sunlight for 48hours. The hair and fur is stuffed into nylon tights to make sausage-shaped booms to string out along beaches.
