Career Summary/Objective

Oil well drilling leader w/27+ years of experience. I have worked in many different countries which include Oman, Kuwait, Libya, UAE, New Zealand, Australia & Canada. Safety was of number 1 importance to me & the people I worked with. The land drilling rigs I worked on where 750-3000 HP with joy stick, Cyber, ADR & conventional rigs. I presently have my IWCF Surface BOP Stack Level 4 cert & a valid passport. I am looking for any position.

EXPERIENCE

SEPT. 2016 – APRIL 2019

DRILLING SUPERVISOR, Petrotel inc.-oman

Worked on 3 land drilling rigs in Oman for Petrotel, drilling up to 15,000’. Choosing drill bits, BHA, set drilling parameters, ran various size of casing & cemented same, assisting w/fishing & testing operations & assisted Rig Manager during rig moves.

JUNE 2015 – MARCH 2016

RIG MANAGER, weatherford drilling international-oman

I worked on WDI 808 drilling for BP in the Khazzan field. Worked directly with the BP drilling supervisor & Omani crews drilling the holes safely & efficiently as possible.

DEC. 2009 – MARCH 2015

RIG MANAGER, ensign canadian drilling-western canada

During my time as a Rig Manager w/Ensign Canada my duties included working with office & the crews in getting the holes drilled safely & quick as possible with zero incidents. I worked on various size rigs from 750-3000 HP, conventional, ADR, diesel electric, cyber & joystick rigs drilling oil & gas wells in Western Canada for various operators.

I worked for KDC drilling HPHT wells in Kuwait for KOC. I also assisted in the commissioning of KDC’s new 2500 HP drilling rigs & work over rigs.

During these years working with Ensign Int. I worked on various projects which included drilling oil, gas & geo-thermal wells in the various countries.

I started working on the rigs with Tri-City Drilling as a Motorman working my way up to a driller with Ensign Drilling. My duties included working with the Drilling Supervisor in drilling their projects safely & quickly as possible. Also, being able to recognize any kick warning signs & how to avoid these situations.
