Mr. Gant has over 10 years as a Configuration Manager, Requirements Manager and Release Manager utilizing the Rational Tool suite (RTC, RQM DOORS and DNG and Rational Legacy Tools ClearCase, ClearQuest, RequisitePro) with experience working with RUP, Agile, Waterfall methodologies.
As a Rational tools administrator I routinely did the following
Install and Configure IBM CLM (specifically Rational Quality Manager and
Assisted in setup and configuring of WebSphere Application Server
Configure ( with help from Database Admins) setting up backend database for Oracle or SQL server
Set up Rational Report Builder as a part of the Jazz Reporting Service to produce reports for the various Rational tools
As a Requirements Manager I performed the following duties in tandem with the duties of the Configuration Manager
Create and manage requirements plans
Create and manage requirements databases using Rational RequisitePro and Doors Next Generation
Upload requirements documents, create and perform requirements attribution, traceability, tracking and linking of requirements to test cases and workorders in DOORS NEXT GENERATION.
As a Release Manager I performed the following duties in tandem with the duties of the Configuration Manager
Coordinate with Business analysts to monitor and track requirements during iteration
Perform GAP analysis to ensure all requirements are linked to test cases
Coordinate with developers throughout iteration to insure that work orders associated with requirements are whats being worked on only.
Coordinate with testers to ensure test environment availability, if not either create or work with them (via meeting with developers and testers) to create the test environment.
Migrate code from developer code repository to testing environments for testing
Working with customer to mitigate any new “hot fixes” being added to current iteration
Perform risk analysis with developer leads/managers to ensure “hot fixes” do not affect current deployment
Obtain sign off from Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, Production Deployment Team and End Customer/Client as deployment to production commences.
While deployment is going on, audit and prepare post mortem reports about process and present to upper management team/customer as well as project team (Business Analysts, Developers, Testers)
