Independently manage a panel of 163 patients diagnosed with a broad range of mental illnesses including substance use disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, treatment resistant major depressive disorder with and without psychotic features, different spectrums of schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, borderline personality disorder and schizoaffective disorders in an outpatient psychiatric care clinic as well as a telehealth environment. Effectively manage client symptoms by initiating, monitoring, and modifying, as needed, stabilizing pharmacotherapeutic treatment interventions; administer short and long acting injections, when appropriate. Performed comprehensive new patient assessments to evaluate individual physical and mental health status and corroborate accurate healthcare diagnoses. Order, perform, and interpret routine lab testing to monitor patients to establish baseline values and ongoing treatment effectiveness. Safeguard patients by conducting assessments to evaluate suicide and homicidal risks; facilitate appropriate referrals for higher level care, when warranted. Integrate pharmacotherapy and psychotherapeutic interventions to effectively manage alcohol and opioid use disorders. Deliver cost-effective, patient-focused care by completing prior authorizations to determine covered medications and services to optimize patient regimens and outcomes.
