Responsibilities: Provides complete documentation and hemodynamic monitoring of patients during procedures, including accurate chronological recording of angiograms and hemodynamic parameters, medication administration, and recording of equipment used during procedures
Circulates in room during all catheterization procedures and anticipates physicians' needs and assists during catheterization procedures to include prepping patients
Anticipates and meets the needs of the patient during catheterization procedures including knowledge of use of hemodynamic equipment, BP apparatus, defibrillator, oximeter and other related equipment
Performs pre/post procedural care of the patient such as educating, prepping, draping, and informing the patient about what to expect
Dresses percutaneous sites with and without sheaths
Provides equipment and supplies to those scrubbing or circulating within the room
Maintains awareness of new equipment and physician preferences of equipment and procedures
Assists in collection of all specimens, including arterial/venous blood specimens, as well as point of care specimens
Successfully removes arterial and venous sheaths based on unit standards
Assists in regulatory and safety monitoring and compliance audits as directed
